Task 3.1: Variable Turbocharging
The goal of this task is to investigate the potential benefit of variable geometry turbocharger systems, as well as systems with power take in / take out and multi-stage turbochargers. New concepts for variable turbocharging and power take in / take out will be studied. Prototype components will be manufactured and tested on test-rigs as well as on experimental engines.
