Task 4.2: Hot engine
This task aims to develop a combined cycle marine diesel engine. The concept of a hot running engine operation with high energy content in the exhaust gasses will be investigated. Various combined cycle options such as boiler, steam generator and power turbine will be integrated with the hot engine. Prototype combined cycle system will be designed and tested. The developed system will be implemented onboard a seagoing vessel.
