National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest and most prestigious technical university in Greece (est. in 1836). The Laboratory of Marine Engineering (LME) is part of the School of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art engine testing facility, including marine diesel engines and electrical and hydraulic dynamometers. The Laboratory extensive computing facilities have been used in the development of advanced simulation codes for engine design. The activities of the Laboratory of Marine Engineering are focused on Marine Propulsion System Research with particular emphasis on experimental and theoretical investigations of engine/load dynamics.
