Task 8.1: After-treatment Methods
The aim of this task is to investigate the emissions reduction potential of novel after-treatment methods such as Plasma Assisted Catalytic Reduction (PACR) and Wet Scrubbers (WS). The systems will be adapted for service in marine diesel engines and prototypes will be developed. the technologies shall be tested in a laboratory engine and their potential for particulate matter reduction and the associated expense will be assessed.
