AIM: to examine low heat rejection engines and exhaust gas separation
allowing improved emissions handling and increased efficiency through compound
cycle systems .

- To study and evaluate turbo-compound systems that use the “hot engine”
concept
- To design and test prototype combined cycle systems
- To validate the suitability and reliability of chosen solutions
- To implement the developed system on a seagoing vessel
