Task 6.2: Humidification methods
The aim of this task is to investigate the potential of air humidification methods as a mean to reduce exhaust emissions. Different methods of humidification will be investigated: Fuel Water Emulsification (FEW) on Common Rail (CR) four-stroke engines and Scavenging Air Moistening (SAM) on two-stroke engines. Prototype systems will be developed and tested on experimental engines.
